Chris Cantara, CPA
Chris graduated from Plymouth State University with his Bachelors of Accountancy in 2010. Chris is also a Certified Public Accountant with over 6 years of experience preparing tax returns. Chris purchased Jim Tapp’s company, Express Tax Refunds, in 2012 and Jim continues to be a mentor to Chris. Chris was a standout in hockey, met his future wife at college and is planning on having a family. You can approach Chris with any problem or question and he will treat you with the utmost respect and work hard for you.
Jim Tapp
Jim graduated from Mars Hill College in 1966 with a BS in Business Administration. Jim joined Export Leaf Tobacco Company in Richmond, VA, a subsidiary of the worldwide tobacco group British American Tobacco Company. Jim rose to the position of Assistant Controller and Corporate Tax Manager before leaving in 1982 to become plant Controller for the Interbake foods, a cookie and cracker manufacturer in Richmond VA, In 1985 Jim joined Davis Oil Company in Stony Creek, VA as Corporate Controller and Tax Manager. He left Davis Oil in 1991 and founded Express Tax Refunds to prepare individual and corporate income tax returns. We were among the first tax firms in the Richmond area to e-file returns. In his spare time, Jim enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
